The preaching and reasoning brought by attorneys are usually not so important in comparison with the final decision of the judge. That is why the American judicial system has also adopted the system of the court of juries, which is meant to give subjective opinions as well, besides the opinion and decision of the judge. This method has proven to be pretty efficient, with some exceptions because the people who take part in this jury may also be influenced by different reasons and facts and for this reason their opinions may not be the correct ones.

Usually, child custody attorneys take over such cases because the processes of this kind are likely to end pretty fast and not make serious problems for the attorneys themselves. For this reason, such cases are often not treated with the same seriousness as the ones that regard thefts or homicides. Child custody cases usually get solved fast if they do not include some serious elements, like the inappropriate behavior of some parents towards their children and other elements of this kind.
